I chose to create this piece because the doves symbolize the freedom of the Jewish people because they are flying away from the shirt leaving it behind and it’s showing that just as the doves can go anywhere because they are free, so can the Jewish people. It is also showing that even though the doves are free, the shirt still remains and that represents that the Jewish people are free but we will always remember what they went through and it won’t be forgotten.
