For my White Rose project, I decided to do a family tree. The reason for this is because the them was Memory. I chose to do my family tree on a real-life Holocaust survivor named Gerda Weissmann Klein. She is still alive today and is 96 years old. Gerda was in the Holocaust as a young girl and was the only survivor out of her family. After the holocaust, she had 3 children with her husband who actually saved her life. Leslie, James and Vivan are their 3 children. She has eight grandchildren and also some great-grandchildren. Gerda has actually written a few books but I have one of her books called all but my life, and that’s why I decided to do my family tree on her.
