Bella Sigoura was born in Rhodes Island in 1923. She was deported to Auschwitz and later to Mauthausen, from where she was liberated in May 1945. After the War, she lived in Italy, before emigrating to the Congo in 1946. She settled in South Africa in 1960 with her husband.
